It was a very pleasant morning. Keeping the festive spirit alive, the pre-primary students of CMRNPS have celebrated Dussehra on 27th September. The tiny tots came dressed in the ethnic attire. The significance of celebrating Dussehra was explained to the students.
Dussehra is ten days and nine nights long Hindu festival. It marks the victory of goodness over evil power such as the victory of Rama over Ravana and victory of Durga over Mahishasura. The idols of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Saraswati, Hanuman were worshipped. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. Students were offered Prasad after the aarthi.
The students sang devotional songs. Every child must know the significance of Dussehra festival to align themselves with the age-old culture and tradition and also realise the importance of good forces and deriving the courage to stand up against the evildoers.
